小时候学校布置作文作业，bobo经常会问，作文一定要写真事吗？如果没有感想还怎么写？就不能编吗？其实这也是我自己从小写作文的困惑，看别人的优秀范文都写得那么真实生动，但自己平日里没有那么多体验，怎么写得出来？
直到我接触到英文作文教材，才找到了有效的答案。问题就出在我们的作文分类上，我们只根据文体分为记叙文、说明文和议论文。像3个大箩筐笼统对作文做了分类。
那么英语中怎么对作文进行分类呢？
The modes describe the writer’s purpose for writing. Each mode has a number of forms of writing—specific documents that accomplish the purpose.

语文中的记叙文被详细分到了各个地方，可以在Personal、Narrative、Creative中找到。要把一件事讲清楚，就是Narrative；要放开想象，就是Creative。清清楚楚。
可以看到他们的写作教育是和现实工作生活密切相关的。各种mode方式分类的出发点都源自于现实生活中真实的表达场景。要讲述一件事情，讲清楚即可，没必要过多的文学化描写；要创造一个文学作品，那就打开想象力，想怎么编就怎么编，能吸引读者就好。反观我们多少年的作文训练，又是追求辞藻，又是追求意境，却有多少人讲不清楚一件事。
